Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers money paid to us for prepaid credit packs on idlidu.dev — the only thing sold on this site. It is the procedure page for the money-back terms in the Credit & Prepaid Terms: those Terms decide whether a refund is owed, this page explains how to ask and what happens next. Where the two could be read differently, the Credit & Prepaid Terms govern.
It does not cover the model providers we route to, your own cloud or tooling bills, or anything you buy from someone else. The Id agent CLI is free to download and install, so there is nothing to refund on the client itself — only on the credit it spends.
2. What you are buying
A credit pack is a prepaid balance, not a subscription and not a licence term. You top up, and inference burns against that balance at the rate published on Pricing. When the balance reaches zero, or an API key hard limit would be exceeded, requests stop. There is no postpaid float, no invoice at the end of the month, and no way to spend money you have not already paid us — so there is no such thing as an unexpected bill to reverse.
Spendable credit is the pack face value minus the platform fee (8% of USD face), shown to you at checkout before you pay. The ledger is denominated in US dollars; PayU collects the INR equivalent at the live rate applied at purchase.
3. Cancellation
There is nothing to cancel. Credit packs are one-off purchases. We do not operate subscriptions, auto-renewal, standing instructions, e-mandates, or any recurring charge, and we do not store your card — the whole payment happens on PayU’s hosted page and we never see the card details.
You may stop using idlidu.dev at any time by not calling the Gateway, revoking your API keys at app.idlidu.dev/keys, or asking us to close the account. Stopping use does not by itself create a refund right beyond section 5 — the remaining balance keeps sitting on the account until it is spent or expires.
You can also cancel a purchase before it completes: abandoning the PayU page, or letting it fail, means no credit is added and nothing is owed.
4. The general rule
Credit purchases are non-refundable once payment succeeds and credit has been added to your balance, except where mandatory law requires a refund or we expressly agree in writing. That is the rule in Credit & Prepaid Terms §8 and it is repeated here only so that this page can be read on its own.
Two consequences follow, and we would rather state them plainly than bury them:
- Credit you have already spent cannot come back. Once a request has run, we have paid the model provider for it. There is no mechanism in our ledger to unspend a burn, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- Credit is not a deposit and is not redeemable for cash. It has no value outside idlidu.dev and cannot be transferred, sold, or withdrawn. The only way money goes back to your card or bank is a refund under section 5.
5. When we do refund
We refund, without argument, in each of these cases:
- You were charged and no credit arrived. If your bank or PayU shows a successful payment and the balance on app.idlidu.dev/billing did not go up, that is our failure. We will either add the credit or refund the payment in full — your choice.
- You were charged twice for one top-up. Two separate payments for the same intended purchase: we refund one of them in full, or leave both as credit if you would rather keep it. See section 7 for what “twice” actually means here.
- You were charged the wrong amount, or credited the wrong pack. We correct the difference in whichever direction it runs.
- The transaction was not authorised by you. Tell us and tell your bank. We will freeze the account, stop further burn, and refund the unspent balance from that payment while the bank investigates.
- Mandatory law requires it. Nothing on this page limits a right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be contracted away.
Beyond those cases, we may agree — at our discretion, as the written exception contemplated by Credit & Prepaid Terms §8 — to refund credit that is still unspent, for example if you bought a pack and then found the service is not a fit. Ask; the worst answer is no. What we cannot do is refund credit that has already been burned, and a discretionary refund is capped at the unspent balance attributable to the payment in question.
These are not grounds for a refund: change of mind after the credit has been spent, a model answering worse than you hoped, an agent run that cost more than you expected while your budget and hard limits allowed it, or a provider changing or withdrawing a model we route to.
6. The platform fee
The platform fee on top-ups (8% of USD face) covers payment processing, FX and platform cost. It is named at checkout before you pay, and it is earned when the payment is processed. So:
- Where the refund is because we got it wrong — no credit delivered, a duplicate charge, the wrong amount taken — we refund the full amount you were charged, fee included. You should not pay a fee for a transaction that did not deliver.
- Where the refund is discretionary under section 5, the refundable amount is the unspent credit, which is already net of the fee you saw at checkout. The fee itself is not returned.
Currency conversion cuts the same way. A refund goes back in INR to the card or account that paid, at the amount actually charged; we do not re-convert a USD-denominated balance at today’s rate and hand you the difference in either direction.
7. Failed, pending and duplicate charges
Worth being precise, because “I think I was charged twice” is usually one of three different things:
- A failed or abandoned payment. If PayU does not report the transaction as successful, we add no credit and we take no money. If your bank shows a debit anyway, it is an authorisation hold or a reversal in flight; PayU normally releases it within your bank’s standard window. If it has not cleared after that, contact us with the transaction reference and we will chase it.
- A repeated confirmation of one payment. PayU confirms a payment to us on both the browser return and a server-to-server webhook, and may retry. Our ledger records each transaction reference exactly once, enforced by a uniqueness constraint in the database rather than by good intentions, so a repeated confirmation cannot credit you twice and cannot charge you twice. There is nothing to refund here.
- A genuine double payment. Two distinct transactions — usually because a first attempt looked stuck and was retried. Both are real, both credited. This is case 2 in section 5: tell us and we refund one.
Before we credit an account we verify PayU’s response signature and re-confirm the transaction with PayU directly. A payment that fails either check is not credited, and if money moved on such a transaction it is refunded in full under section 5.
8. How to ask for a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your idlidu.dev account, with:
- the account email, if it differs from the address you are writing from;
- the PayU transaction reference from your payment receipt — or, if you do not have it, the date, the amount, and the last four digits of the card or the UPI handle used;
- which pack you bought, and what you want us to do.
You do not need to fill in a form, open a ticket, or speak to a bot. There is no phone line to publish and we will not print one we do not answer. If you would rather escalate formally rather than ask informally, the Grievance Officer page gives the statutory route and its timelines.
9. How long it takes
- Acknowledgement: within 2 working days of your email.
- Decision: within 7 working days of us having what we need, with reasons if we decline.
- Initiation: approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 5 working days of approval. We cannot refund to a different card, account, or person.
- Arrival: after we initiate it, the money moves on your bank and card network’s timetable — typically 7–10 working days on Indian rails. That leg is outside our control.
A refund of unspent credit is debited from your balance at the moment we approve it, so the same money cannot be both refunded and spent. If your balance no longer covers the amount because you spent it while the request was open, we refund what is left.
Grievances raised through the Grievance Officer run on the statutory clock published there, which is shorter and binds us. These product timelines are ordinary founder mail, answered by a person.
10. Expiry is not a refund
Credit expires 12 months after your most recent top-up, and every new top-up carries the whole balance forward to 12 months from that payment. The expiry date for your account is shown on app.idlidu.dev/billing.
Expired credit is removed from your spendable balance and is not refundable — expiry is a forfeiture, not a payment failure, and it is disclosed here, on Credit & Prepaid Terms §9, and in the dashboard before it happens. If credit is about to expire, spend it or top up; a small top-up extends the lot.
11. Chargebacks
Please email us before raising a chargeback. Almost everything on this page is faster to fix directly than through a card network, and a chargeback on a delivered prepaid balance has the consequences set out in Credit & Prepaid Terms §10 — including suspension of the account and revocation of keys while the dispute runs. Nothing here prevents you from exercising a genuine dispute right with your bank.
12. Suspension for misuse
Where we suspend or terminate an account for a material breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, unused credit is generally forfeited to the extent the law permits. We will say which clause was breached and what we observed.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are posted here with a new effective date and do not retroactively change the treatment of a purchase already made, except to correct a clear error or where law requires.
14. Who takes the money
Payments for idlidu.dev credit packs are collected by Saptarang Ventures (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., CIN
U43900MH2023OPC413456, through PayU. Registered
office: C-102, Acropolis Apartments, Thatte Nagar, Gangapur Road, Nashik – 422005, Maharashtra, India. That is a registered office, not a walk-in counter — please do
not send parcels or documents there; email reaches a person faster.
